Package design for Studio Ghibli's DVD is a collection to include: Spirit Away, My Neighbor Totoro, and Castle in the Sky. This is an experimental typography piece, only type as image.
For the cover of the whole collection:
I use tree branches to make up the word "Ghibli" because all of these three movies are about nature and the relationship between humans and the environment. I use gold powder to make up the word "world" to show the power of these stories because Hayao Miyazaki made these stories, and he also made these magic world, and I put Hayao Miyazaki's quote on the cover: "I do believe in the power of story. I believe that stories have an important role to play in the formation of human beings, that they can stimulate, amaze, and inspire their listeners."
For each DVD packaging:

1. Spirit Away:
I use gold powder to make up the word "Spirit." and made the word "Away" as the hot spring house, No Face, and rail show how they look like in the animation.
On the back is an introduction to the animation. The text composes No Face hides from the rain under the roof.
Inside: die-cut of No Face on the bridge to hold the disk with Zeniba's quote: "That's a good start! Once you've met someone you never really forget them. It just takes a while for your memories to return."
2. My Neighbor Totoro:
I use tree branches to make up the word "My Neighbor," and made the word "Totoro" as the Totoro stands under the tree with an umbrella just like how Totoro shows up in the animation.
On the back is an introduction to the animation. The text composes how Totoro looks under the tree with an umbrella.
Inside: die-cut of Totoro to hold the disk with Tatsuo Kusakabe's quote: "Everybody, try laughing. Then whatever scares you will go away!"
3. Castle in the Sky:
I made the word "Castle" like the moon, castle, and pigeon with the word "in the Sky" made of cloud on the front cover.
On the back is an introduction to the animation. The text composes the Castle glows in the skyline, which shows how it is in the animation.
Inside: die-cut of the robot to hold the disk with the Valley of Gondoa's quote: "Take root in the ground, live in harmony with the wind, plant your seeds in the winter, and rejoice with the birds in the coming of spring."
